MVA is currently developing a 1,800 SF rooftop expansion for the Metropolitan Opera. The rooftop addition will house drive racks to serve scenery operations for opera stage sets below. The project's unique challenges led to a solution that incorporates structural trusses to span across the theater stage footprint. A second structure then cantilevers aside the truss to provide a clear path for each cable distribution and maintenance circulation.
